Meagan Redman-gomez from ABC TV and husband Ricardo Gomez of NBC TV pitch in to help
The Saugerties Lighthouse TV23 cable access facility was designed by Nigel Redman in 2005 and was built by an all volunteer crew of local residents. "They did an amazing job", states Redman. "We worked every day after 5pm until 9pm and every other Saturday for 3 months". "They helped build one of the most advanced cable access facilities in the state". Now we are going digital and needed to upgrade our technology. Redman and the other volunteers, including his daughter Meagan Redman who graduated Saugerties HS in 2005 came back from NYC to help out. She also brought her new husband Ricardo Gomez from NBC to help. "We are not done but the foundation is in place. The full upgrades will take another 30 days."

JCT Develops Transferrable Tire Retreading Technology Platforms for Central Africa
Working with Treadware Software of Lake Katrine NY, JCT has developed a full platform for industrial tire retreading processes that are set to be transferred to Central Africa. Clayton Van Kleeck of Treadware NY and Nigel Redman spent over one year working out the details for the design and implementation of this bold plan. "We wanted to design a plant that could be easily build in countries like Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana or Nigeria and then train a local work crew to operate the facility", states Van Kleeck. "We do not want to just export another USA model of a business and take funds out of the countries". Together the team consulted and worked with various African businessmen to come up with a plan that meets those goals. The team is currently in negotiation with several business agents from at least three countries to get the first plant built. "This is an exciting project" states Nigel Redman, "we spent a great deal of time and money working out the very complex details but we feel the investment is well worth the effort since retreading is environmentally positive and economically rewarding"
